NIFTY, Reliance, Tata Steel 16'th May 2011

Market Mirror 13'th May 2011

Buoyed by the election results in some states, the indices in the Indian stock market managed to beat most of their Asian peers in terms of gains today. Sensex gained in the region of 195 points whereas Nifty closed higher by around 59 points (up 1%). The smaller indices managed to sustain investor interest with the BSE Midcap and BSE Small cap indices ending higher by 0.8% and 0.3% respectively. Pharma, banking and FMCG stocks led the pack of gainers. Major other Asian indices also closed the day on a positive note

NIFTY, Reliance, Tata Steel 12'th May 2011

Market Mirror 11'th May 2011

Sensex gained in the region of 72 points whereas Nifty closed higher by around 24 points (0.4%). The smaller indices also gained with the BSE Midcap and BSE Small cap indices both ending higher by 0.6% and 0.7% respectively. Power stocks led the declines while auto, banking and realty bluechips led the gains in the benchmark indices. Sgx nifty is currently trading 50 points down at the time of writing (7:00 a.m). Asian market trading in Negative. Watch IIP Number Carefully today in the market.

Market Mirror 10'th May 2011

Buying activity could not sustain itself during the closing stages and as a all indices in the Indian stock market plunged into the negative territory and closed the day marginally in the red. Sensex closed with a loss of 20 points where as Nifty lost around 10 points. BSE Midcap closed marginally in the negative today whereas the BSE Small cap index was able to sustain its gains and closed slightly in the positive. Nearly three stocks declined for every one that ended the day in the green on the Sensex today.

Sgx nifty is currently trading 2 points up at the time of writing.
